Faith that Lasts, Friendships that Matter, Adventures to Remember

Camp Suwannee is a Christ-centered, Bible-believing summer camp where faith, friendship, and adventure come together. Our mission is to help young people encounter Jesus in a real and personal way while creating memories that will last a lifetime. From the moment campers arrive, they are welcomed into a fun, family atmosphere filled with encouragement, laughter, and genuine community.

At Camp Suwannee, we're all smiles. We love Jesus, we love kids, and we love camp. Our staff is actively involved in every part of the day, leading games, adventures, worship, and activities alongside campers. Whether canoeing on the Suwannee River, gathering around a campfire, or enjoying team competitions, every moment is designed to show God's love and make camp the best week of the summer.

The heart of Camp Suwannee is Jesus Christ. Everything we do points campers to His love, His grace, and His truth. Through the years, we have seen lives changed, hearts healed, decisions for Christ made, and young people called into ministry. While many things may change, one thing never will—Jesus will always be at the center of Camp Suwannee.

Our no-phones policy ensures that campers are fully present, engaging with one another and with God without the distractions of the digital world. This creates space for genuine connection, personal reflection, and spiritual breakthroughs.

Our Values

What Matters Most

Bible Centered teaching

Scripture is at the center of our camp, from the evangelist, devotions, and our team classes. It's at the core of what we do.

Life-giving relationships

Counselors are invested in each camper and they build life-giving relationships, becoming mentors to the campers.

Belonging and Community

We create a sense of belonging among the campers, like this is their second home.

Growing in faith and confidence

We help campers grow in their relationship with Christ, giving them a boldness and confidence in their identity in Christ.

Saftey and trust

Every Counselor is carefully selected, vetted, and trained for proper protocol creating a safe environment for the campers and their families.

Intentional design

Every minute, and moment of the week is carefully planned out so that each camper will have fun and experience God.

Senior Camp

Senior Camp is a Christ centered, bible teaching camp, where youth have a fun adventure while learning about the things of God. Senior camp is a camp for youth ages 13-18 or if they graduate this year they can come as campers. Our schedule keeps the kids busy all day, we believe what Lindsey Rietzsch wrote "Boredom is the Devil's delight". We believe in not letting boredom sink in, and the schedule is carefully designed to have every minute of the day planned out.

From the moment our campers wake up, until their heads hit the pillow at night, our days are designed to be action-packed therefore it provides the campers with a positive environment where they can learn, laugh, play and enjoy camp.

We believe that combining structure and choice into our program allows our campers to experience all aspects of camp, build strong bonds with their friends and get the most out of camp.

Junior Camp

Junior camp at Camp Suwannee is our program for 7-12 year old campers. This week of camp isn’t afraid to get silly! Our Camp News Network broadcast, the cabin skit competition, and plenty of silly songs keep the fun rolling. Many of our traditions have been in place since our campers’ parents attended, but junior camp also strives to add fresh and new experiences while challenging campers to understand many facets of our faith. Missions class introduces the culture of far-off countries and helps grow an evangelistic mindset in campers. Morning Bible class and devotions as well as evening services reiterate each year’s theme and make sure campers are connecting with the most important part of the week- a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and how they can have a relationship with him. Junior camp has always both worked and played with one goal- to glorify Jesus and bring kids closer to His love!

Staff

Our counseling staff is the absolute best, they are there for the youth. They could spend a week on vacation or doing anything else but they chose to spend it counseling youth. They are more than just counselors, they are mentors, role models, and confidants to our campers. Our staff is involved in every aspect of camp, they play games with the youth, teach electives, and demonstrate what it means to be a man or woman of God. Many counselors return year after year, and all new staff have background checks. pastor recommendations and go through trainings and meetings. We prepare them all year for the one week of camp and the impact that they can have on these campers.

Camp Suwannee is in Dowling Park, FL; it's in The Village. The Suwannee river flows right behind the camp. It is such a beautiful place with plenty of nature surrounding us. It is not unusual to see a hawk, hear an owl, or even see a fox. This place is amazing, it not only serves the needs of Camp Suwannee summer camp but it can also be rented out for special occasions, retreats, or you can rent a room at the Village Lodge. It's a wonderful experience.

"Last year was my first year at Camp Suwannee. I went because so many of my friends went and told me how much fun they had. My favorite part of camp was the QR code, everyone would run around camp trying to accomplish the challenge, it was so much fun."
"The speakers they have at camp are amazing, they challenge you in your walk with Christ. One speaker in particular really challenged me, he talked about the dry bones coming to life. He talked about how so many Christians look like they are alive but they are missing God's breath of life in them. I realized he was talking to me."
"I've been coming to camp since I was a teenager. I am now a camp counselor, I always look forward to coming to camp. I love being with kids, I love going to White Sands, and Canoeing."
